1. obama or mccain, we win because we get rid of bush 2. our future should be brighter than "not bush". 3. imagine who you would want to be with on the 12th floor of a burning building? because, frankly, were are there. tonight I watched an old tired Republican tell a young black man who Fanny Mae was because, you know, he probably never heard of the company until a few weeks ago. some one is out of touch. some one has hope and clarity. some one is ready to lead, for two terms and then whatever the future holds. you be the judge. |

glamour this one word this is the source of so much pain this is the reason we no longer speak to one another this misconception about the self... oh to see one another for the first time, again scrubbed clean in daylight simply passing acknowledging that moment when we realized we were not strangers that we had found one another at last clear kind pure |

check out the 5 olock news on Wood TV 8 today. Ah....that's what they did with my baby. Makes me proud. On another note. My business mentor and partner of sorts goes to the bank to seal the deal on a tasty cabaret theatre that looks like something dropped out of a 1930's gangster movie. Complete with shower and lighted thrust stage. Yummy. Already working on booking shows from Chicago and London, oh my, please join us. I also am booking performance acts for Destination 1111 this year. Please contact me with your brilliant idea/performance. Operation Nein. |

that was a great show. simien the whale did the baddest cover of criss cross's "jump" ever. very funny. mighty narwhale mystified and delighted an entire new crop of believers. lynn thompson band got everybody dancing and drinking and got at least one lucky bastard laid last night. chance jones was the musical equivalent to the best fight scenes from every bruce lee movie looped and projected in every sense of the word, "astral". i am so beat right now. to anyone who came and supported, thank you. the storm blowing in and blowing la familia off the stage and over to the intersection was simply delightful. of course, holding down the beer tent and dismantling the seating and tables in the driving rain was less than fun. the event was a financial success. but more importantly, a lot of people got introduced to some great bands. and these bands are great because for each of them, it is all about the music. we live in a great city because of them. again, thanks to all who came and made our night memorable. |

she follows the survivors of her careful machinations folding splendor into sorrow as she practices her paces swerving slightly to avoid any purposeful collisions a smile is all she answers to your well deserved derision pull the hammer back and aim for the pigeons that she tosses she’ll measure all her gains against your unsuspecting losses will you ever seem to name the place you have forgotten let us slip into the night and drink the nectar that nearly rotted and hope is just a thing that flew before you caged her and grace is just a name that you spoke before she named you even when you have remained when the force you claimed blew by you no one ever seems to claim the pieces that they stole from the box you hid so carefully in a closet that swung open is there something you’re not telling me we’ve got little time for what remains unspoken, what remains unspoken, what remains unspoken, what remains unspoken…… so take me to the river take me to a sandy bar, |

Amazing, the flap over Rev. Wright's comments. Many Americans actually agree with the core message of Rev. Wright's sentiment. America has done wrong. And given the irony that we sing "God Bless America", when the actions of America's leadership is reviewed in the light of Biblical morals, one could come to no other conclusion other than that a God who condemns corruption, murder, vengeance, greed and lust could offer no verdict on this country other than judgment. "God Damn America." A celebration of First Amendment rights, an opinion that resonates with many Americans. So what? And if his opinion is that attacks on his sentiments can be interpreted as an attack on African American Churches, then so be it. Embracing that which we do not understand but that which may offer a clearer view...isn't that a truly American method of becoming? Perhaps, I am wrong. |

I was amazed today when my son, Matthew, age 10 waltzed into the kitchen with two recorders playing harmony out of one and melody out of the other. The song, Amazing Grace. Perfect timing, not one note missed. Wow. |

I had just about the best time ever last night and I didn't realize it until it was done and over. Went to the Wealthy Experience. Some nice blues. Old cartoons. My kid banged the hell out of a clapper for the first time. But wait, there's more.... Got into a little discussion with some GR's finest. Seems the old 10 Bells is going to be turned into a Fraternal Order of the Police something or other. And they were just bellyaching a bits about it. Why? Well, and I loved the motions they made with their hands. They described cops driving home drunk and how awkward that might be. Hmm. So, without missing a beat, I launched into a little discussion of what I do for a living. www.savalifetour.com A little alcohol awareness program that just so happens to be all over the U.S.of A. High Schools. Universities. Military Bases. They just looked at me with jaws gaping. Then I launched into the effect of even one beer on a driver, our quarter million dollar simulator, student testimonies. They were horrified. That's right, that means you Po Po, even you. It was a beautiful moment to say the least. I told them I lived right around the corner and then said, "maybe we'll bump into one another again." They looked like they was just a gonna crap their drawers. And it really didn't hit me until I walked away. SNAP |
